Getting Eyes To Your Brand With Instagram

This morning I read this Post (link below) about the rise of Instagram and Pinterest by Peter Drew.

There are some VERY interesting things to notice about the way some young Entrepreneurs out there are using Instagram and Pinterest…

…these guys are using innovative, entertaining, non-salesy, natural, totally-in-their-stride ways to draw 10’s of 1000’s of people to their brand, make a connection with them, and send them to their website – which is of course; THE game.

Needless to say I took immediate action this morning and got myself a Pinterest Profile.

And guess what? 

I immediately had someone share my first image on Pinterest which links straight back to my site where I share my messages (add value), make the connection with people, then offer them more stuff to help them (again, the game).

I have been using Instagram for a while just for fun and have been noticing some musicians and artists using it really well but reading Peter’s article this morning really opened my eyes to the possibilities of Pinterest and Instagram and the potential they both have for us as Entrepreneurs as Business Owners.

Instagram Iphone App (not on Android)  with close to 20 million active users in only 11 months.

What is Pinterest Exactly? Well its hard to describe, because functionally its a simple plain old Social Bookmarking site, that uses images instead of links. Nothing to special there right? Well, no.. But this new system and layout they have produced utilises Twitter like trending capabilities within their layout. So within their Categories of content, you only really get to see the quality content rise to the top.. And Quality Galore is there to be found.
